Heather Gerlach
Heather (Konopka) Gerlach, an Erie native, received her B.A. in dance from Slippery Rock University. Since her graduation in 2000, she has been working as an independent teaching artist at various organizations in Pittsburgh and surrounding areas, including Pittsburgh Center for the Arts and Dance Alloy Theater. Her work has been shared in the SRU Faculty & Guest Artist Concert and LABCO’s Black Box Series. She is also involved with the dance ministry at Northway Community Church, and has a strong passion for praise & worship dance. Heather has been teaching dance classes, including modern dance and hip hop, at PPAC since 2002, and offers workshops in other dance-related topics, such as partnering, site-specific dance, and improvisation/choreography. She has been a trainer with IM=X Pilates, Inc. snce 2005 with certifications in basic & advanced xercizer (reformer) and floor formats. Heather is also a member of the Zumba Instructor Network since 2007, and offers classes at PPAC and other locations.
