Kelly O’Leary
Kelly O’Leary holds a B.S. in Physics from Grove City College and a M.A. in Counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary. Mrs. O’Leary, a Pittsburgh native, has been dancing since the age of three training at Carol Leones Inc. and Just Dance Conservatory under Anita Giovengo (a student of Judith Jameson). At Grove City College she acted as dancer, head choreographer and the artistic director for Orchesis, the school’s dance program during both her Junior and Senior years. Mrs. O’Leary has taught modern, ballet, tap, and jazz at Just Dance Conservatory, where she acted as the Assistant Artistic Director and Administrative Supervisor for productions of CLUE, Grease, and Alice in Wonderland. She also taught ballet at the Children’s Dance Academy in north Philadelphia and Physics at Montour High School in Pittsburgh.
As a dancer Mrs. O’Leary danced with the Ampersand Revival Dance Company in Pittsburgh under the direction of Laura Hodge and has continued her professional development by dancing at various studios including Pulse Dance Studio, The Pillow Project and Bodiography. In her past she has danced many roles, including that of Cinderella in a modern translation of the story. While Kelly loves performing, she particularly loves translating music into movement through choreography and teaching. Kelly O’Leary recently moved back to the Pittsburgh area from Philadelphia with her husband and two daughters. She is passionate about the art of dance and is excited to teach others to enjoy and appreciate dance in its various forms.
